Paper Pumpkin April 2019 Alternatives

Each month I host a Paper Pumpkin gathering for my subscribers.  At that gathering I try to offer at least two alternative projects, usually cards that can be made using the contents of the kit plus a few extras from the general Stampin' Up! catalog.

This month I got carried away and made 6 different alternative cards.  They can all be found on my These Are My Stamps site with instructions and supplies listed in an easy to print format so you can copy them.

Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper

Hello, I am in the midst of creating valentines for my next workshop in January and what goes better with valentines than lace?  Right!  And Stampin' Up! has filled that need with the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper located on page 39 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalog.

Isn't this just beautiful?  I have to confess when I first saw this I was immediately intrigued and bought a package with my pre-order and then promptly put it away and there it has sat for 7 months.  But, as I was cleaning out the retired items from the Holiday catalog I came across this and decided it was time to pull it out and do something with it.

Forever Lovely

Another Forever Lovely card.  I don't usually buy designer series papers.  In the past I have purchased them and then don't use them or use them very little and then they get discontinued and as a demonstrator I can't use them and anyway, they seem to go to waste for me.

That being said this suite does have some lovely designer papers but again, I did not buy them.  So then I wanted a background for the front of the card so I made my own using the stamps from the Forever Lovely stamp set.

Forever Lovely Background Design

I think it looks beautiful.  The sentiment is stamped with regular ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  This can be done though it needs to be done quickly as the ink dries so fast.

You can see more on my These Are My Stamps blog.  Check it out.

Forever Lovely Note Card

When I host a workshop I like to feature a particular stamp set or bundle and make a variety of samples made using that set so that my customers can see the versatility of the set.  The past few posts have featured the Forever Lovely stamp set with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits.  This is another one of the series.  For this card I made a note card instead of the standard A2 card.  I don't think to do this very often but it is a nice size card and it still mails with standard postage.  You can find the notecards and envelopes in the main catalog on page 194 as you can see in the supplies list that is on my These Are My Stamps site.

Forever Lovely Note Card

This card is truly lovely and really not that hard to make.  Several of these could be made and given as a set for a gift.

Check out the details and supplies list at TAMS.

Thanks for stopping by.  Make note if you choose to order the host code has been posted to the right for on line ordering.

Happy Valentine's Day

Looking forward to New Years, Valentine's Day, Easter and the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration!  Today, even though it is the day after Christmas when I am writing this, my mind is on Valentines.

Using the Forever Lovely bundle in the Occassions catalog that is out now and goes live in January I hope you like this one.

Forever Lovely Meant To Be

This card uses a new die set called Rectangle Stitched Framelits.  If you look closely at the center cut out around the sentiment you can see the window was cut out using one of the dies from this set.  Now, there is something that really tickled me about this set.  When you use one of the dies to cut out the "window" there is stitching around the window AND the piece that is cut out also has stitching around it so you end up with another piece that can be used.  Makes this set even more versatile that it already is.

To find out more about how this card was made and get a supplies list check out the post on  my These Are My Stamps site.  I have been working on getting the blog page there to look good and to get it working so you can subscribe directly to it.  Once I accomplish that this blog will be going away so stay tuned as I will set you up with a link to subscribe when it's ready.

I hope and pray you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Far Apart But Close At Heart

At Christmas time love is in the air.  We celebrate the love God has for us in that He sent His son to make a way for us to be made right with Him and know the joy and glory of a relationship with God.

Another time of year love is in the air is Valentine's day.  This is a day we celebrate our love for one another.  With that in mind here is a card that could be used as a valentine.  I made this card using items from the new Occasions Catalog that is already available for you to review and ordering begins on January 5th.

Forever Lovely Dynamic Lace

The shimmer of the new Lovely Lipstick foil card stock really makes the embossing POP!  The supplies, measurements and instructions can be found on my These Are My Stamps blog.

I am hoping to switch to that blog entirely soon and this one will no longer be available.  For those of you who follow me I will let you know when that happens so you can switch if you choose too.

Thanks for stopping by,

Forever Lovely

The new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog and Sale-a-Bration catalog are going to go live in just 15 short days.  To get your creative ideas flowing here is an inspiration for you.

Floral Romance

Floral Romance is a new suite being offered in the 2019 Occasions catalog and the projects shown here are just a sample of what you can do with this lovely group of products.  If you don't have a catalog contact me via the comment section and I would be happy to send one out to you.

I've also begun making some samples of my own to share.  To begin I am just trying to case the examples from the catalog.  The set I began with is the Forever Lovely stamp set bundled with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits dies.

You can find this card on my TAMS blog with instructions and supplies listed.

Golden Afternoon Lasting Lily Calendar

It's that time of year when we all need a new calendar and I love having one on my desk that isn't too big but that I can easily find to check a date for something.

I get my mini tear off calendars from Taylored Expressons.  I'm sorry for the lack of a link the site wasn't available when I wrote this.

Golden Afternoon

I enjoyed making this using some of the stamps from the Occasions and Sale A Bration catalogs that are available now and go live on January 3rd.  If you would like a catalog and don't have a demonstrator already leave me a comment and I will make arrangements to send one to you.

As always I have supplies list and instructions available on my These Are My Stamps site.  There you will find how I used the "Glycerine Gel" technique to create the background and the measurements to create the stand.

I hope you enjoyed today's post.  I invite you to leave me a comment and to shop with me online.  If you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator taking advantage of my posts please know that I appreciate it when you mention me and give me credit.  Thank you!

Detailed Floral Thinlits Labels To Love Valentine

I really like the color combination on this card.  Soft Sea Foam with Powder Pink look lovely together.  As always you can get supply lists and instructions on my These Are My Stamps site.

Detailed Floral Thinlits

The card has some dimension at the framed oval is raised above the sentiment oval.

Varied Vases Bokeh Dots

This card doesn't have any hearts on it but flowers can say I love you on Valentines day too.  I didn't put a sentiment on this one yet, I'm waiting for the new items from the Occasions catalog coming in January.

Varied Vases Boekh Dots

Those Glitter Enamel Dots are really pretty and add a lot to the look of this card.  As usual supplies and instructions can be found on my These Are My Stamps site.
